Maximum Allowable Standing Height (MASH)

Section 1. Determine the Maximum Allowable Standing Height (MASH) for athletes for bilateral lower limb deficiency competing with prostheses

For ambulatory athletes running, jumping and throwing with prosthesis (i.e. bilateral above knee amputations, bilateral below knee amputations, or combined above knee and below knee amputations, bilateral lower limb dysmelia), different formulas apply for measuring the maximum allowable standing height. This tool helps to determine the correct formula and calculates the MASH value upon insertion of the measurable variables.

WPPO AH (Haleczko) Calculator

The AH (Halezcko) formula is applied when two or more weight categories are combined at the discretion of World Para Powerlifting (WPPO) to determine the final medal rankings. This little tool helps to calculate the AH score based on the gender of the athlete, their body weight and best lift.
